Q. How does the product work?
A. All earthing products work on the principle of body electrical balance, eliminating existing charge through contact with a conductive material that is connected to the ground of our homes.
Q. What makes a product conductive?
A. The product are made conductive by applying a conductive material in its fabric, for example, the earthing mats get their conductivity by a carbon infused layer which allows electrons to flow freely.
Q. Do in need a ground rod or a plug in connection for my product?
A. most houses build after the 1960s have an electrical ground system integrated in the electrical circuits, if that is the case you can have a normal plug in connection. If your home does not have this system integrated you can always use the grounding rod and connect directly to the earth surface. A ground checker is included in every kit for you to safely check you grounding connections.
Q. Is it Ok if it rains with my grounding rod installed?
A. Yes, it is totally safe, the moisture of the surface even increase the conductivity and electron flow. If you live in a place with dry climate you can even make sure to moisture the ground every week for conductive properties.
Q. Do Earthing products run on electricity?
A. No, they only pick up the energy of the earth, this products are made for human use and so they do not connect to electricity.
Q. Is it normal to gain heat during the night with earthing bed sheets?
A. With this products you improve blood flow as you can find in the earthing page of the main menu, this produces an increase on the temperature of the extremities, this is totally normal, safe and part of the benefits of earthing.
Q. Should I unplug when no using?
A. We need to remember that this products do not conduct electricity so there is no harm on leaving them plugged in, actually it may be better because you make sure they do not accumulate oxidation, therefore last longer.
Q. Can I plug my earthing product into an extension cord?
A. Yes, as long as it's a three-prong surge protector/extension cord and you can connect the surge protector/extension cord into a grounded outlet in your home or office.
Q. Can I put fitted sheets over my sleeping mat?
A. Yes, sleeping mats may be placed under your fitted sheet with complete grounding success!
Shortly after lying down, perspiration and environmental humidity will hydrate your fitted sheet more than enough for your body to absorb electrons from the Earthing Sleep Mat and equalize your body with the negative electrical charge of the earth.
Q. Is there a difference on grounding outdoors compared to an earthing product?
A. No, Earthing products are designed to give you the same amount of electron transfer as you would receive if you were barefoot on the earth. They are the same.
The difference is when you go outside you're also receiving fresh air and sunshine.
Q. How do I test earthing products with a voltmeter?
A. For simplicity's sake, we recommend using a continuity tester instead of a voltmeter.
If you prefer to use a voltmeter to test your Earthing® product though, please note that the product's grounding cords are equipped with a built-in safety resistor of 100k ohm strength. This requires specific settings to your meter in order to achieve an accurate reading.

Q. Is there a grounding limit?
A. No, such concept does not exist, do you imagine any harm on laying on the beach sand all day long ?
Q. How long does it take to get grounded?
A. Its been showed that it takes about 20-30 minutes for effects to reach your upper body ( you may feel some tingling) and even less to reach the lower parts of your body like your knees. Your body is a very good conductor of electrons :).
